Launch of EHA at the Congress of the European Headache Federation (Valencia, April 2006)
The European Headache Alliance (EHA) was founded recently with the aim of uniting and strengthening the voice of people affected by headache across Europe. The EHA was launched in Valencia on April 26th 2006, during the Opening Ceremony of the 8th Congress of the European Headache Federation (EHF).
In front of a huge audience attended by the most renowned and active scientists in the field of headache, the newly elected President of the Alliance, Mrs. Audrey Craven, outlined the purpose of EHA and what led a group of highly driven representatives of lay headache associations to come together from across Europe to found EHA.
EHA President, Mrs. Audrey Craven, presents the Alliance and its aims in Valencia (April 26th, 2006).
EHA will work to improve the access to appropriate diagnosis and adequate treatment for people affected by headache disorders. This will be achieved with several lines of action, all directed at increasing the awareness of headache. These lines of action will be pursued in the most effective way because EHA will speak with a unified, therefore a stronger and more cohesive, voice.
